Together for choral music: The Friends of the Chorbiennale
According to its statutes, our association primarily serves to provide material and non-material support for the International Chorbiennale Aachen. We aim to preserve the Chorbiennale and ensure its continuity and continued development. Our association is the "memory" of the Chorbiennale. We document the festivals and best practice for its organisation to provide newcomers with quick and comprehensive information. In this way, we contribute to preserving musical diversity and artistic quality in the city of Aachen, Metropolitan Region, as well as in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.
Our members
Founded in 2017, our support association currently has approximately 250 members. All are invited to attend our biennial general meetings and actively participate in the association's activities.
The members of our association are lovers of choral music, including many active choristers. We are united by the idea of promoting encounters between choirs of different backgrounds and cultures through volunteer work. We aim to foster intercultural dialogue and make the International Chorbiennale Aachen an unforgettable experience in the musical life of the city and region every two years.
Our Board
Our board is comprised of dedicated individuals passionately committed to promoting choral music in Aachen. The current board was elected at the general meeting on September 12, 2023.
Together we are committed to promoting the Chorbiennale as an outstanding cultural event in Aachen and to strengthening choral music in our region.

Become a member of the Friends and Supporters of the International Chorbiennale Aachen
We would be delighted to welcome many choir enthusiasts to our support association. Anyone who commits to paying a minimum annual membership fee of €12 is welcome to become a member. Please consider supporting our association and thus the Chorbiennale with a larger donation. The association is a non-profit organisation. Membership fees and donations are tax-deductible.
Companies are also welcome to join our association. The minimum annual membership fee is €60.
